Know your heart’s rhythm – ECG & ECHO at Medipulse

What is an ECG

An ECG (Electrocardiogram) is a quick, safe, and painless diagnostic test that records and analyzes the electrical signals produced by your heart.

It helps doctors clearly understand your heart’s rhythm, rate, and overall electrical activity, assisting in detecting irregularities, arrhythmias, heart attacks, and other cardiac conditions at an early stage

When is an ECG Required?

Your doctor may recommend an ECG if you

  1. Have chest pain, discomfort, or tightness
  2. Experience shortness of breath or sudden fatigue
  3. Feel your heart skipping beats, pounding, or racing (palpitations)
  4. Have dizziness or fainting spells
  5. Are at high risk for heart disease due to diabetes, high blood pressure, cholesterol, smoking, or family history
  6. Need pre-surgical or routine cardiac screening

.

What is ECHO?

An ECHO (Echocardiogram) is a non-invasive ultrasound scan of the heart.

It uses sound waves to create live images of your heart’s chambers, valves, and blood flow – helping doctors assess how well your heart is working

When is an ECHO Required?

Your doctor may recommend an ECHO if you

  1. Have shortness of breath, swelling in your legs, or unexplained fatigue
  2. Experience chest pain or discomfort
  3. Have a heart murmur detected during examination
  4. Show signs of heart valve problems or heart muscle weakness
  5. Have a history of heart attack, heart failure, or congenital heart disease
  6. Need monitoring of known cardiac conditions
  7. Require pre-surgical cardiac evaluation

An ECHO lets us see your heart in action — so we can treat problems before they grow.”
